May 4, 2024 (Multi part series)
Dear Members, friends, and supporters of FIA –
We are excited to announce our first town hall meeting scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024 time is 2:00 p.m. eastern/1Central/Noon Mountain/ 11:00 a.m. Pacific. This Zoom event is open to all of ACB. We also welcome individuals and organizations not associated with ACB who are curious about our affiliate and would like to hear more about us.
This is your chance to get to know our board members. Most importantly, it is our chance to get to know you.
FIA is undergoing an affiliate level restructuring. While the goal to support the arts and advocate for blind and low vision artists, students and audiences will continue to be the main focus, we invite you to share ideas and innovative possibilities with us.
During the May 4 town hall, after a brief introduction we will take questions and constructive comments from the floor. The goal is to provide an open forum for members and supporters to share what we could improve upon or strengthen to benefit our affiliate.
Following the May 4 meeting we plan to schedule two more Town Halls to continue what we hope will be an energetic and productive exchange.
